BTDT moms of the 2 under 2 club....Delivery question

Did anyone bring DC #1 to the hospital to see you for the 2 days you were there?

I'm not sure it's a great idea knowing she might not like being taken home without her Momma.

Is it easier to just let her stay with whomever is caring for her (friends might take her for the 2 days until I come home).

DH did. I was fine with it on the first day (although he did act up when it was time to go home.). I was annoyed when he showed up with ds to bring us home.

I wanted to bring Maddie home, get settled & then go pick him up at school. DH's plan was to come home as a family. We're the perfect example of miscommunication.

My parents watched Andrew for the 2 days I was in the hospital. They brought him during the afternoon to visit. He had more fun playing with the adjustable bed rather than seeing his mommy Chat Icon HE was fine. I was happy to see him too!

We didn't bring her. When I had Sarah my roommate's son had a huge meltdown every day when his dad was trying to leave and they ended up staying in the room (the dad and the kid) and I didn't want to have to deal with that, or have DH driving all the way home with her upset.

My mom stayed with her while DH was at the hosptial with me, and they didn't talk about me to her. I missed her like crazy, and called home a lot to ask about her, but it was nice to have time with just Andy, and to let my family meet Andy without Sarah looking for attention too.

LMAO! Our experience was the same. When I had #3, my DD was a little more clingy but she got over it when she got to wipe stuff off my food tray. Chat Icon
