My next question, I warned you! Does your husband mean well but ANNOY you?

DH is reading the pregnancy books now and asking me all sorts of questions.

Are you getting enough folic acid?
Did you get x and y blood test?
Are you drinking enough milk?

Arrrrrgh!!!!!!!!!

Now it's

Drink orange juice, it's good for you and the baby.
Make sure you drink a lot of milk
Eat healthy
Go exercise

OMG, I might kill him!!!!!!
And the worst part is that he means so well, but jsut gets on my nerves!!!! I kinda feel bad....

My DH only asks questions after reading his "Daddy" book. I think it's kind of cute except when I am trying to sleep and he is whispering the questions in my ear.

My DH was like this for the first few months....then he chilled out. He did have his occassional "make sure you get enough milk" and "Maybe you should work out" But overall the inital "worry" wore off.

Now he's preparing my post pardum workout and diet Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Mine is super-involved, but I think it is cute (albiet a little annoying). I know he is just trying to be supportive. I consider myself lucky....I know too many men that could give 2 shytes about their wives during PGChat Icon

thats really nice that he is involved, but i can see it getting annoying. I would just tell him that its a bit much. Tell him to ask you once a week instead of every day. Or instead of asking you, tell him to prepare you a dinner full of protein and vitamins this way, there is no need for him to ask.

HAH!!!! I think I would pass out if I came home to a meal cooked by DH!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions though about easing up, I'll have to find a delicate way to do it.

And you guys are right, it's more sweet than annoying.....Chat Icon

My DH has been great except he has accused me of trying to starve the baby. Just because I haven't given in to every craving he thinks I'm depriving the baby!!!!Chat Icon

i can't WAIT for him to start moving stuff around - i highly doubt it will happen since he can't seem to ever locate a mop. He cleaned the bathroom 1x in 4 months and he thinks he's the man but he does cook.

Tell you what, I'll lend you my DH. One day of him calling you "The Hulkster" because your pregnancy underpants look like wrestling shorts and you'll be screaming for your DH back.

And yes, he does all the wrestling poses too......

I feel exactly the same way. My DH has been involved since we started TTC (and I don't mean only in the literal sense!Chat Icon ). He's gone to all of my doctor appts with me and asks more questions than I do. I feel so lucky. Chat Icon

I offer you this advice. When the baby is born say "Did you change the poopy diaper? It is bad for the baby." See how fast he moves!Chat Icon

Mine has been great in taking care of me. However he has one habit that is annoying. Our office is uppstairs an I camp out downstairs..every few minutes (feels like it) He'll ask "did u call me, do you need anything". He said he is here to take care of meChat Icon and Chat Iconat same time
