BTDT Moms, or Girls who already have all their "baby supplies"
How much room do you need in the kitchen for baby stuff?
I have started "Operation Organization", and I am trying to figure out how much cabinet space I need to free up for bottles and what not.
Thanks!

I think it depends on how many bottles you plan on using to be quite honest. We used playtex drop-ins and also the playtex ventaires with Ava and I only had two of each. I had started off with having like a gazillion of each, but it was just too annoying having them all over the place all the time and always having a dishwasher and sink full of dirty bottles, so I got rid of all but 4 bottles and washed them after each use. Made my kitchen and my life so much easier. I think we used half of the bottom shelf of one cabinet and that was that.

Totally agree with Rachel. I use that cabinet over the sink for the "baby supplies." I started off with 2 of the small Dr. Brown bottles. I also had room for the canister of baby formula, Mylicon drops and the dishwasher basket for when I washed the bottled and nipples in the dishwasher. On the counter next to the sink I had the bottle brush. That's about all - not much space needed at all!

Re: BTDT Moms, or Girls who already have all their "baby supplies"
this is one of our chores for today!
We have 6 bottles, a few extra nipples, a small dishwasher basket, dapple dishwasher detergent, and 2 cans of emergency formula. I think it will end up taking up 2 shelves on a more narrow upper kitchen cabinet.... they really don't require that much space...

I had one shelf. Now that he is older we have 3.
I really need to go through things and make rooms for bottles.

Right now I have a whole cabinet. I have TONS of bottles which I probably won't use, but I got most of them for free (the drop-ins). I also have all the formula samples I got in the plus other kitchen stuff. It's amazing how fast the stuff piles up!!

Re: BTDT Moms, or Girls who already have all their "baby supplies"
I only had 4 bottles ... I would wash them and re-make them as I went so the cabinet rarely had bottles in it. When we went to food at 4mos, all he had was 2 little bowls. Later, 2 sippy cups and the bowls were in the cabinet, didn't take up much space at all. Now at 1year we have 2 dishes, 2 bowls, 2 sippy cups in the cabinet (2 sippys in the fridge at all times an dno more bottles)...so he doesn't need much cabinet space. It all depends on when you plan to make bottles...if you want to let them pile up you'll need more space. I hated seeing the bottles all over (dirty in the sink, then the drying rack) so I just washed and made them as he drank them.
