BTDT moms: play mat?
so, there were a couple of things not bought off my registry that i would like to eventually buy, but things that we dont need right away
one was the play mat... you know, for tummy time? the one i LOVE is like $80... is it worth spending the money on it? the more and more i think about it, the more and more i want to just say F it & i'll put a blanket down on the floor with toys for tummy time lol
so.. play mats, worth it or not?

I do think its worth it, but wouldn;t spend $80 on it. I had this one:
I used it when they couldn't sit up but once they could they would sit and play with the toys
This is the Tiny Love Gymini

Re: BTDT moms: play mat?
My DD loves her playmat. It was the first "toy" she used. I registered for it, but I don't think it was $80. She has the Baby Einstein Around the World one with the animals. Remember BRU and BBB have 20% off coupons, so that helps with the bigger ticket items. One other lifesaver for me is her exersaucer. I didn't have one on the registery and my BTDT friend told me I had to have it and she was so right. DD loves it! She gets so excited when she is in it and it helps them with their neck and legs.

Re: BTDT moms: play mat?
Michelle...Do no spend $80 on a playmat. I got one for $25 and DS never liked it...still hates it.
See if doing tummy time without a paymat works first then try a playmat. DS never liked tummy time...soooo everything I got to try to get him to like tummy time was kinda a waste.
I know BJ's sells a couple of mats for $16.99.

DS is entertained more by BIl's can of screws when BIL shakes it for him than any toy I've gotten for him...LOL. These little people have a mind of their own
By far the things that I've gotten the most use out of have been the, Fisher Price Rock & Play (highly recommend) and the Exersaucer. DS hated the boppy, the mat, the swing, and bouncy seat.
