BTDT moms--Pre-Labor experiences?
I probably should post this on the parenting board, but can you BTDT moms share what you felt before you went into labor... like did anything stand out as strange or abnormal beforehand?
I think I'm just getting antsy with 6 days to go before my due date!! I want this baby to come out already!!!!

Re: BTDT moms--Pre-Labor experiences?
For me, I just did not feel right. The night I went into labor with DS#2, it was about 8:00 pm and DH went to Friendly's for me, he came home, I took ONE bite, and just... blah... did not want it. That was STANGE for me because all I want when I am pregnant is ice cream. I just felt, I dunno... "off".
Fast forward to 10:00 pm on the dot... my water broke, and within 15 minutes I was having contractions 6 minutes apart.
I know its hard, but TRY to relax. You need all your strength for labor and delivery.

Not too much. I think I may have lost my mucous plug a week or so before adn didn't realize it until I thought about it after my water broke early at 37 weeks.
Also, the day my water broke - the baby was very high - much higher than it had been in the past week (I had know I dropped and then suddenly it was realy high) - actually that day at work people told me I was so high that I had a way to go!! lol
No real clues it was coming!!

I felt normal (well pregnancy normal) until I lost my mucus plug. The light menstrual like cramps started. They intensified a bit to bad menstrual like cramps throughout the day. By the next day they were full blown contractions that I had trouble getting through.

The enormous pressure. I felt like the baby was going to fall out when I walked. (We're rarely that lucky -you do need to push)
Less movement toward the very end. So much that I had begun to wonder if they strangled themselves with the umbilical cord () & I started to poke my belly to wake them up.

Oh, I must ask now: how close to labor were you experiencing the signs you just described???
To answer the original question: I lost my mucus plug very unexpectedly and my water broke the next morning at 5am.
I also remember feelign the ned to wash the freezer a few weeks before going into labor. I mean, REAAALY wash it, I even unscrewed the bottom vent to get into all the creases...

It was about 1 week before I had my first.
With the second baby, I had less movement 1-2 weeks & but enormous pressure started my last month (36 weeks?). I never reached that last month of pregnancy with my first labor.
At 39 weeks I thought I was going to go past my due date because the baby was so high. I had more BH than with the first baby. I was wrong. I went 1 week early. What I read afterwards is that most second babies don't drop until the end. HTH

Re: BTDT moms--Pre-Labor experiences?
I had a lot of BH and back-aches the week before. The day of I had a lot of cramping and back-aches (which I later realized were the real contractions, I was expecting them to be like the BH). I was just feeling off, exhausted, unable to keep up when I was out walking and shopping. I just didn't feel right.

Re: BTDT moms--Pre-Labor experiences?
Starting about 35/36 weeks - Constant bowel movements... sorry for TMI. The day before I went into labor, I was tired - I mean bone tired, and I didn't feel well. Like I had indigestion.
Same thing is starting to happen with this pregnancy... I'm 36 weeks and I am constantly going to the bathroom. Again, sorry for TMI.
