BTDT moms: progesterone to prevent early labor?
I went to my OB/MFM yesterday. Basically, she told me that because I had early labor with my first pregnancy, she recommends I take PIO starting week 19 to prevent early labor! 
We both acknowledged that I did not have a shortened cervix or compromised anything, and that my early labor came on as a result of twins. I was in the hospital for almost 3 weeks before their birth.
I know I can't do it again, and she said she'd leave the decision up to me and we'd discuss it as we progress.
Did any of you ever do this? Did it work? What do you think?

BTDT moms: progesterone to prevent early labor?
This is very common if you had PTL in the past. Try googling P17 shots.
I don't know if it is necessary if you only had PTL because of twins. I asked about getting them with the twins because my son was early, but they said the shots aren't proven effective with twins.

I am in a pregnancy after twins also.
I also had preterm labor with my twins and was on strict bed rest from 22 weeks until I delivered at 34+4 including cerclage and 1 week hospital stay.
I have been having my cervix checked via vaginal ultrasound every 4 weeks and so far, so good. I am prepared to get another cerclage if needed which I will find out next week. I am 23 weeks (tomorrow) and so far no issues at all with my cervix and we are not doing anything preventative.

*crashing*
I went into PTL with DS and he was born at 33 weeks due to unexplained premature placental abruption. When I was pregnant with DD2 I was a candidate for and received p17 shots. My DD was born right on time.

I used progesterone suppository because of the short cervical length. Once week sonos transvaginal. and I stop around 31 weeks and I had my baby 35 weeks

very common i did them with DS and DD, I did the p17 shots from weeks 16-36. No big deal.
