BTDT MOMS who did not have a sprinkle/shower...
Do you feel prepared for your new addition?? I dont know if it's bc this isnt my first, or if its because I'm on bedrest, but I am so unprepared. The furniture is not in yet, but since they will sleep in a bassinet at first I'm not too worried. I would have liked to organize their clothes in their dresser, but the closet is pretty big so its not that big of a deal. I just havent washed ANYTHING yet. I havent brought up any of my baby gear from the basement, I havent bought any new supplies (other than diapers which i had delivered from diapers.com yesterday).
I am only 33 weeks, but since I'm high-risk for PTL, I could go at anytime...I am just now starting to panic that I dont have anything ready!!
Is it just me or does this happen the second time around???

Re: BTDT MOMS who did not have a sprinkle/shower...
I'm with you! I've had the fire lit under me in the last week. I've cleaned up the swing and bouncer, washed the gender neutral bedding, purchased a few boy clothes just in case (we are ), purchased the pack and play. We've had the crib set up since DD just moved out of it but nothing else is set up yet.
We still need to paint the room, change the light fixture, change the window treatment, get a few new replacement necessities, purchase the stroller, purchase the cloth diapers/supplies, line the dresser drawers, grab some girl clothes from DD's old stash and wash them, etc..
I have six weeks until my due date but my goal is to be ready in three and we have a lot going on in the coming weekends.
Good luck to you!

Re: BTDT MOMS who did not have a sprinkle/shower...
I do feel unprepared, but I'm really not.
I just have to get all of my gear out of storage (car seat, swing, bouncer) and we're good to go. It's a matter of getting my BIL over to help me get all that stuff out and back to my house that's the hold up. I really need to do that soon..
We didn't buy him a crib yet, but I do have a co-sleeper and I just bought sheets for it so there's really nothing else that I absolutely *need* right now. I think this weekend I'm really going to start getting organized.

Re: BTDT MOMS who did not have a sprinkle/shower...
being jewish, I did not not have a shower when I was pregnant with DD, nor will I have a sprinkle with this baby.
We purchased our big ticket items in advance (pack and play, car seat, snap and go and a swing) a couple of weeks earlier and kept them in the garage (nothing came into the house). The crib was already ordered too, but we didn't have it delivered until after she was home with us.
I never felt unprepared. Everything I needed we had when I got home. DH did make multiplitle trips to BRU however, the first 2-3 days home.
Any clothes that I had (which again, were not brought into the house before hand), my mother washed and put away while I was in the hospital.
