BTDT moms who had placenta Previa later in pregnacy..

I am 33 weeks and I I have slight case of this. Going for a special sono on the 24th to see more about it. The dr is not overly concerned and is not talking c-section.. YET. What is this exactly and when do they make the decion for a c section or not? TIA

I had it very early on with my first. By my 30 week sono, it was moved up enough that it wasn't a concern. It's only a real concern when it blocks the cervix in any part.

I had it the whole pregnancy and it didn't move enough towards the end so they had to do a csection two weeks before my due date.

I had in my whole PG as well. They detected it at 14 weeks and monitored it throughout the whole PG. Mine was very severe and never moved, so after my 24 week sono we began to discuss c-section and I was deemed high-risk. At my 30 week sono when it had not moved we scheduled my c-section. I also had bleeding the entire PG, so my Dr wanted to get me delivered as soon as DSs lungs were mature. I began getting amnios at 36 weeks. I went into labor & had an emergency c-section at 37w3d. DS was born in 40 minutes and was healthy. I had no complications from the surgery
