BTDT Mom.....throwing up question...
Hey all,
Kevin has been sick since about 5ish today throwing up. It started pretty suddenly and it went on for about two hours ... dry heaving and all. He was pooped after it all. THen for the past hour or so he has been fine and even laughing. I just put him down to sleep on his belly and he went right to sleep.
How often should i check on him? Do you think he will continue to throw up throughout the night or this is over with?
I plan on giving him pedolyte slowly tomorrow........and then wait until Jack starts throwing up tomorrow!
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Re: BTDT Mom.....throwing up question...
I'm glad he's in good spirits but does he have anything left in his body? Do you think the only reason he's not throwing up is because he doesn't have anything in his belly?
If you fed him & he kept it down, it's probably the last of it but even then I would be checking him throughout the night.
I always do when my kids are sick. I'm a bit paranoid like that.

Re: BTDT Mom.....throwing up question...
did he eat something bad?? I hope he doesnt have a bug. I would check up on him , but if he is sleeping then he may be feeling better. I know when Christopher had that stomach bug, he was up quite often, but that is because all he was getting was pedialyte. Has he had wet diapers?? Hope he feels better....keep us updated

Re: BTDT Mom.....throwing up question...
We gave him a bottle at 3 and that seemed to be good with him. Around 4:30 we gave him a bath and afterwards he spit up a bit, but i didn't think anything about it and we sat down to eat dinner. I was feeding him mashed potatoes and the next thing you know he is projectile vomiting all over the place. So my DH put him in the living room and we gave him 4ozs of pedolyte and that is pretty much what he continued to throw up until he started dry heaving. I did not feed him anything else and he went down to sleep around 7ish. My mom told me anything i gave him now will just upset his stomach so let him be for the night and then slowly start him on pedolyte tomorrow morning. Does this sound about right?? I plan on checking on him the whole night just to make sure he is okay.

Re: BTDT Mom.....throwing up question...
Much Better it seems. He slept through the night and woke up around 6:30AM which is a little earlier then usual for him. I gave him 2oz of pedolyte to start him but he was crying after he finished the bottle so i gave him another 2ozs. He was in much better spirits as well. I had to go to work today so my babysitter has not called to say he has thrown that up so that is a good sign.
Broke my heart seeing his face look at me while throwing up scared out of his mind and then going to grab for me while still throwing up and not being able to do anything!
Hopefully that was all of it last night. Thanks for all your advice.
