BTDT nursing moms...

I havent gotten my nursing pads yet.... do you think they will have them at the hospital? The disposable ones???

They probably have them but I don't remember needing them ASAP b/c it takes a few days for your milk to come in and you need them when you start getting engorged.
I found the best to be Lansinoh and you can get a box at CVS, Target or any supermarket really if you don't want to make the trip to a baby store.

In the hospital i really didn't need them, but wound up using the reusable ones at home for the month i was able to BF my DD.

I really don't remember needing them in the hospital and I don't recall if they even had them. If you plan on nursing, though, I highly suggest investing in Lilly Padz - better for the environment, easier to use, more comfortable and less visible

As the pp's said, chances are your milk won't come before you leave the hospital, and if by chance it does, it won't be enough to engorge you and leak so you probably will not need them. But pick up a couple of boxes anyway cause you will most likely start to need them when you get home or very soon after.

They should have them at the hospital, but it may not hurt to bring some if you want to be sure. My milk did come in while I was in the hospital & i was leaking everywhere. That happened to be both times.

Thanks I will definately pack some just in case... also.. do you need them the entire time you nurse? or do you stop leaking after a while??
