BTDT-What age for Sesame Place/Hershey/Disney?
DH & I were talking about taking DS to various parks but we couldn't decide on what age he should be so he could enjoy it/understand it? So I turn to the BTDT Moms... What age would you take you DC to....TIA!
Sesame Place? Hershey Park? Disney World?

Re: BTDT-What age for Sesame Place/Hershey/Disney?
Havent been to Sesame Place since I was a toddler myself, so I dont know.
We just got back from Hershey last week with DS who is 2yrs, 9mo and my nephew who is a year and a half.
It was FANTASTIC! There were TONS AND TONS of rides for them to go on, in fact, we spent most of the day on kiddie rides.
What I thought was nice about it, was there was something for everyone, kids and adults.
As for Disney, of course there is stuff for the littles ones to do, afterall it is Disney. However, we postponed our trip until when DS is 5 or 6 (we were going to go this year). Simply bc with how expensive Disney is, I want to go when he will remember it.

This is our plan:
Sesame Place: 2.5 years (DD will be 1, not really able to participate, but able to go on water rides)
Hershey Park/Dutch Wonderland: 3.5 years (DD will be 2 and able to do more)
Disney World: 4.5 years (DD will be 3, they can go on all the same rides together)

haven't been to the other 2 with declan yet but we have been taking him to disney since he was 4 months old (is it bad that he's 1 years old and has been 4 times already!?!?!) even at 4 months old we had a great time with him. i think our next trip in october will be really great cause hopefully he'll be walking then and can really understand everything but make no mistake, he ALWAYS had a great time, was always smiling and laughing when seeing characters, shows, parades and even the rides

Re: BTDT-What age for Sesame Place/Hershey/Disney?
I know a lot of people start going to Sesame Place when DC 1.5-2 yo+
Disney: We went when DS was 2 month shy of 3 yo. It was great! He loved everything. He was aware of characters. We could go on a lot of rides for him. We could not go on some rides because of his size but I would say that we did not feel we missed out because of him. We will most likely go again when he is 5.

Re: BTDT-What age for Sesame Place/Hershey/Disney?
Disney World - I would take my DD and future children at any and all ages. It's my favorite place in the world so to me anytime is a good time to go. Plus, aside from the roller coasters of Tower or Terror there are no height restrictions on Disney rides.......little ones can go on anything.
I plan on taking my DD to Hershey when she's a little older (she's 21 months now) but this summer we are taking her to Sesame Place.
Edit - spelling

We started with Sesame Place and Disney at 18 months. We haven'tt done Hershey yet and I don't know if we will. DH doesn't like rides much and we go to Disney every year, so that's good enough.

We recently went to Hershey & Dutch Wonderland with DD. She is 2 1/2 and both were great.
Dutch is definitely for the younger set.
Hershey has something for everyone and plenty of kiddie rides. I'm PG so I couldn't go on much but DH was happy that there were rollercoasters for him.

Re: BTDT-What age for Sesame Place/Hershey/Disney?
We took DD to Sesame Place last summer when she was 1 1/2. She had a great time on the water rides and some of the kiddie rides.
We are Disney freaks and go at least once a year, but I think if you're only going to go once then I say wait until 3/4. I think they can really understand it at that point and will get a lot out of all the rides and activities.
