Built in Bookcase help.

We have a little foyer. When you walk in the door, in front of you is the coat closet, to the left is another door and to the right is a little alcove. It measure about 2 feet long, 1 foot deep and 9 feet high. I want to put a bookcase there, but we also have an outlet and the intercom there, so if we bought a bookcase, we'd need to cut out holes for those things. Has anyone had someone come in and build something? I know DH could do it, but WHEN??? He doesn't have the time. I could probably build it too, but would need help. Any suggestions?

ETA: I know this is a bathroom, but it's similar to the space. I wouldn't even need a back to the bookcase, just the sides and shelves because the wall is so cool and I think that it would be a shame to cover it.

KellyFG once posted one that her husband built and it was beautiful. I think he does it for a living.
