YES!!! Andrew loved it!!! I bought the tray for it and he would sit there and eat his cherrios. I think it really helped him sit up too.

Re: Bumbo Baby Sitter

When I worked in daycare there was a couple of them in the infant room. Most of the babies loved being able to sit in them and would just sit and play. I think they're really cute and will register for one.

Re: Bumbo Baby Sitter

i've known several babies that loved it - however, if they have chunky thighs, it may not work! I registered for it, but if this kid has Mommy OR Daddy's thighs, it may be going back. Chat Icon

I am registering for one and this is mostly why, I think babies just look so adorable in them.

Re: Bumbo Baby Sitter

Its cute, I used it a few times for pictures but DS wasnt a fan...I lent it to a friend for her DS who was a tiny baby and did like it.

I would say borrow it if you can, really wasnt worth the money for us...

I won't be. Since they've come out, I think they just don't look natural and the babies look uncomfortable.

I know people love them but it's not for me. My baby will sit when he or she can sit. All in good time.

Reminds me of an old co-worker I had who would rave about her baby walking so early... yeah, in hefty clod hopper work boots! And he'd hobble like Forest Gump or Herman Munster! Took the boots off and the kid couldn't stand. Chat Icon Why noodge nature? Chat Icon

We have the Summer Infant Super Seat. I love this! The tray and toys are great to keep DS entertained. We also use it to feed him right now. The leg openings are wider so bigger babies should be able to fit in it.

Re: Bumbo Baby Sitter

My son loved it until he could crawl. Then he wanted nothing to do with it. But it is wonderful in the beginning when they can't sit up on their own!

My friend's baby was so big he used to dive out of it. Chat Icon But I do know a couple mommies that loved it and their babies were very happy to sit in it!

They even make little trays you can attach to them too.

I have the BeBe Pod Plus and DD loved it. It was great to put her in before she could sit up. We also fed her cereal in it when we started because she was too small for her high chair.

We're not planning on getting one. I figure we will try out my SIL's and if this Chat Icon likes it we may just buy it. But it's not on my list of necessities right now.

Bumbo seat is a TIGHT fit if your little one has chunky thighs. Emerson did not fit comfortably in it. We got the Summer Infant Super Seat and it's AWESOME!! Looks like the Bumbo but roomier and the foam seat comes out as they get bigger so they can keep using the seat. Also has a 360 degree tray with toys. Very nice, she LOVES it!! Here's the link:

Re: Bumbo Baby Sitter

I registered for and received the BEBE which is practically the same thing (but comes with a tray).

Please be aware there have been articles regarding recalls back in 2007 - NEVER LEAVE BABY UNATTENDED (like everything else) SERIOUS HEAD INJURY'S CAN OCCUR.

Re: Bumbo Baby Sitter

My son doesn't exactly love it..but it definitely came in handy....If you want the baby near you while you are in the bathroom or doing laundry, you can just pop him in it for a little while...For that reason alone it was worth the money for me.
