Bump Style
I need help with my bump style.
I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and can't find my style anywhere.
Maternity jeans make me mad because I have yet to find a comfy pair.
I'm like a size 16 or 18.
I have a slight fupa-situation going on, and a big ole bump.
And now at 20 weeks, the only style I feel comfy in are large tops & yoga pants. But I look like i came out of the 80's.
I just don't know where to shop or how to feel good in what I'm wearing.
I like comfy, flowy clothes like palazzo, gaucho style pants, flared bottoms, and i don't mind a hugged-bump top.
Where do I go from here?

i am 34 weeks preggo and just stocked up on a bunch of tunics & leggings from old navy. i am pretty tall and have been happy the lengths have been long enough to cover my back end.
i lived in leggings w/ my first pregnancy and am at the stage now where everything is so uncomfy that they are again the only thing i can imagine putting on my body. it might be an alternative for your yoga pants.
i would wear jeans to work and have spent everywhere from $20 at Old Navy to over $100 at pea in the pod. i got my fave maternity jeans from h&m during my 1st pregnancy. i think jeans are sort of hit or miss and may take awhile to find the right ones. good luck. (though they are very attentive at destination maternity and the sales person may be able to help you find a good fit)
there is another site asos.com that has cool maternity clothes at not ridic prices.

also ~ go on pinterest and search for pregnancy styles. you can see what other women wear and the type of look you would like. it might help you see how other preggos dress and what direction you would want to go in.

I found some awesome jeans, cargo style pants and a few pair of black pants for work at Destination Maternity when I was pregnant with DS.
Granted this was over 5 years ago now.
I loved them so much, I hated giving them up after I was pregnant.

Try destination maternity. The staff is really helpful. They were able to help me find two pairs of maternity jeans that are very comfortable.

thanks ladies! i found a few ideas from pinterest :) and I hit Burlington last night and was pleasantly surprised by their selection & prices.
going to try destination maternity next!

Destination maternity had a sale on jessican Simpson, buy 3 get 1 free and now i am Set for 9 months along w leggings
they are full panel and feel great

I found that when I was PG I liked tighter fitting clothes. Flowy stuff just made me look fat and I wanted to look PG not fat.
I was probably the only time I embraced my curves!!!

yes! when i went to burlington, i tried on big & flowy tops to wear with leggings, and i looked like a horse. woof.
but the more form fitting items were lovely. the 2 maternity pants i picked up were the best! curvy & flared all in the right spots. and i finally found undies that fit! what a win.

My bump style has been leggings with long tanks/tunics, cute open button down shirts, flowy tops and flats.
For work, I stick to dresses in stretchy materials.
I needed only a handful of maternity pieces, so I was and am still able to wear most of my pre-preg clothes.
I mainly shopped at my normal stores in larger sizes. Maternity clothes really don't fit me well unless they're basic pieces.

I am 18 weeks and I am into lots of layers-cardigans with tanks and belts, scarves, baggy pants with a tight tank and a loose cardigan, leggings and tunics, dresses with a denim jacket, etc.
But I am with you on the undies...I thought my maternity clothes I had just bought didn't fit, but it was just my underwear and bra that were super tight. I bought some nice granny panties and I am super comfy now. It makes all the difference!
