Bumper Question

Okay i took off the boys bumpers since they started rolling over and putting their faces into them. NOw i have another issue....they stick their feet and hands outside the railings and then cry because they can't get them out.

For those that don't use bumpers...did this happen. Can my children get hurt by this?? Would it be smarter to put them back on.

Re: Bumper Question

With Caiden I was able to leave them on until he was around 5 months I guess. He would do the same, sticking his limbs out the sides. He never got hurt but his leg got stuck one day. He didn't cry though thankfully. I have heard from other people that their child got hurt this way. Nothing drastic, but they still did. With Connor he still has his regular bumper on, but I just bought the breathable bumper. I haven't put it on yet. I've heard great things about it. I'll let you know how it works out. If you have a fancy style crib it might not work though. Chat Icon

Re: Bumper Question

We have the breathable bumpers for DD. Keeps hands, feet and pacifiers in the crib, and no worries about suffocating. I agree that they aren't the prettiest thing around, but it's my DD's sleeping room, not a Martha Stewart display room, so I'm not worried about it. I took some pictures of the room right after I set it up, so I have the "pretty" pictures already. Now, it's a functional room.
