Bundle me and Bundle me light

To go over the car seat- do they really make outerwear unnecessary?
Are they good to have? I am due 12/5, so she will be in her carseat all winter.

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

My son was born in November. I had the bundle me and used it all winter long. It kept Jake nice and warm. I would highly recommend getting it.

Did he wear a jacket with it?

OMG Steph - you have to get this!!!!! Its a lifesaver. I would put a hat and a light blanket over Ava and then zip up the bundle me - it was so easy!!!!

Mallory was born in January so I used the Bundle Me allll the time, it was a so easy I just put her in her normal clothes and put her the car seat with the bundle me, sometimes with a light blanket....so much easier than a jacket or a snowsuit! I would highly highly recommend it !Chat Icon

No jacket, just a blanket. It was tryly a lifesaver. I had also gotton the bundle me lite and didn't like it. It was much smaller than the regular bundle me.

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

The bundle me's only for the infant car seat, right?

Nevermind, I just looked it up on a website. You can use it with a regular car seat, but it's kind of pointless in that case. Chat Icon

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

They have different sizes, but I guess if you zip it up in the car it is too late!

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

We just have the regular bundle me and I'm afraid it's too warm for this weather, or am I wrong?

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

Since I'm due in Nov I thought it would be a good idea to have one of these so I registered for one and received it. I think it's going to come in very handy in the winter.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but these are considered by some to be unsafe in car seats. They are great for the stroller, but can interfere with the baby's safety in the worst-case-scenario-crash. Car seat technicians suggest nothing thicker than a fleece bunting, and it should be fitted so that it can not bunch under the child. This is a pain to hear, I know, but important!!

There are car seat covers that just go over the baby that are considered safe. The bundle me is problematic because it is also under the baby.

I agree - I had a Feb 05 baby and loved this and couldn't imagine not having it!

I'm due 3/4 so I didn't think I would get much use out of the Bundle Me, but I didn't know they made a Lite version. Do you think I should get a Lite one?

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

I bought the bundle me light yesterday and used it today. I thought it was great for this kind of weather, not too cold and not very warm. I figure I will be able to use it for another month and not again until the spring. I have the regular bundle me for the very cold weather.

The bundle me light was $19.99 at Buy Buy Baby.

Claire was born 12/12 and we used this the bundle me all winter, I would highly recommend this. It was so easy and kept her warm. I usually just had a sweater and hat on her......If you install it correctly and make sure the straps are tight once the baby is in place there really should not be a safety problem.

Cassidy was born 12/20, and the Bundle Me was so amazing. No outerwear necessary, just a hat! It is sooo easy and convenient!!!!!

I've heard this too but I cant see how its that thich that it would cause a problem. They also say the same thing about winter coats but you cant put you child in the car in the winter with no coat (not infants who can use a Bundle Me but a toddler).

With that said, the car seat cover you mentioned that goes over the seat only is what I used with my son and loved it. I tried the Bundle Me with my daughter and truthfully preferred the one that goes over the seat only.

Re: Bundle me and Bundle me light

I had both for marissa the light I loved for the fall its a little heavier then a heavy sweat shirt I would put a light blanket under it jsut in case. The regualr bundle me I loved I would just put a sweater on her over her clothes and put her in the infant car seat and out we were it was great I loved the fact I didn't have to deal with the snow suite heavy jackets and make her uncomfy in the seat with the bundle me they are comfy and not stuffed and restricted to stay in a certain position they can move their hands and feet without a problem it was great
