Bundle Me Question
Hi Ladies,
I received a Bundle Me at my shower and have been very excited to use it and then just yesterday started hearing from alot of people that they are not safe and the hospital won't let you take your child home with one. I can't seem to find any credible information online about the safety of the bundle me, although I have found a lot of forum posts. Apparently snowsuits are a No No too???
Does anyone know if this is opinion or fact?
Have you tried the Bundle Me, do you like it?
Do you know if it fits the Graco Snugride carseat?
TIA!!!!

Re: Bundle Me Question
It does fit the snugride b.c I used one with DD last winter. Well the school of thought is that you shouldn't put anything into the car seat expect the child. I used one all last winter b.c I didn't know it wasn't recommended. But between a mingling moms luncheon where they had an installer (safety chris in mineola) come and talk and when I had my seat checked - I was told it was a safety hazard since they aren't meant to go in the seat it can void the warranty. I will say though that I think most moms use them anyway - so I think it is a matter of your comfort level. I think for this baby I am going to look into the one that goes over the seat.
Snow suits shouldn't be used b.c they can compress in an accident and the baby can come out of the straps.

Re: Bundle Me Question
I got the Posh Pouch instead b/c it goes over the car seat. Technically you're not supposed to put anything between the baby and the car seat. I felt more comfortable with something that just went over the seat.

That's what I used when DS was a baby and I loved it. It kept the snow off of him and was just as warm as a bundle mean (and a fraction of the price). With DD I just used a blanket since she was born in April and it wasn't cold for very long.

Re: Bundle Me Question
I bought the bundle me and used in the car before I read about the warnings on using it in the car. So, I bought the posh pouch for use in the car...fits fine over the Chicco carseat I have..I usually just put a bunting on her in the car..and leave the snowsuit when I go outside with her walking...I also use the bundle me when I go outside with her...It is a bit nuts to change back and forth..but i want to get use out of both of them...It is fact...I like the bundle me a lot keeps baby warm...and I've read about some problems with the pouch not fitting over the Graco seat...but it can be done...
