Buyer Beware- LI Puppet Theatre
Just wanted to warn any Moms out there that were thinking of having a party at the LI Puppet Theatre. My good friend had her daughter's 5th birthday there over the weekend and was so disappointed. The owner (Eliza) was a complete witch and was rude to the guests (she actually shoved an 83 year old woman out of her way at one point) She charged my friend for a kid that didn't even stay at the party (he was freightened by the puppets so he left after 5 minutes) but the real kicker is this....
It was my 5 year old that was invited to the party but I also brought my 1 year old because DH was out of town. He (the baby) did not particpate in any of the games, did not have pizza or birthday cake, did not have his face painted or tatoo's but Eliza still charged my friend $25 for him because 'technically' he watched the puppet show. (He was on my lap and was not even watching...he was playing with my earrings and drinking his bottle) I can't believe how obnoxious and unprofessional she was. My friend paid a lot of money for this party and to be honest, I didn't think it was anything special. The puppet show itself was very boring and the audio was very static-y and hard to hear. Even the older kids were losing attention.
Just wanted to get the word out that if you are thinking of having a party there.....check it out CAREFULLY first.

that's terrible! She won't stay in business too long if that's how she treats people!

I agree!!
Although I have to say when we looked at birthday places for DD they have always said that if someone brings a sibling unless they are an infant and they stay in the stroller that they would charge us for the child. I don't agree with the policy but I wonder if other places actually do it or just threaten it.
