Buying a car from an owner, not car dealership-loan ??
Can you get a car loan from a bank to buy a car from an owner (not a dealership)?

yes
for example, capital one has a blank check program where they prequalify you for a certain amount, and you can use that at a dealer or with a private seller

I used the check from cap one and you could only use it with a major dealership. I called and they told me this because i had the same question

absolutely. in fact, when i bought a few years ago, the interest rate for a used car was slightly lower than that for a new car.
