Buying a new home

Hi all,
My husband and I are in contract to buy a house. We are over the moon but we are so superstitious. I was wondering if a lot of people out there were superstitious when buying their first home. We are so afraid to get our hopes up and then have it taken away. We just locked in our mortgage rate. It all has gone so easy that we are waiting for the shoe to drop. Anyone found that buying a house was an easy process. Just trying to normalize our feelings. TIA!

that's great that it is going smooth for you. i know a few people who just had it easy so maybe theres no other shoe :)
us on the other hand...we've been in contract for 5 months & we're closing thursday (finally) but we are still running around getting things straightened out, it's been a nightmare. i think it's because we have a VA loan & they require a lot more. hopefully your closing will be problem free-good luck

I was in the same boat as you when we bought. It was such an easy process, from the offer, to the contracts, to the closing. We hit a few minor bumps that in the end worked out in our favor, but nothing to the point to complain about it.

Just enjoy it and it does not always have to be a nightmare experience.
