Someone on here recommended this site to me. The warranties are much cheaper & if you "friend" them on FB you get a discount.

we did not buy warranty...1 yr and 3 weeks later TV broke.
I called samsung and told them they better stand behind their product. They extended my warranty for a one time courtesy.
big time issues with lcd
thank you. I was actually considering a 50" and the reviews were slightly better for picture but not sound vs the LG model so that's the one I got. DH really wanted the LG one and since it will be a huge surprise I didn't want to dissapoint him. the only other thing is I got Plasma because DH really wanted that over LCD. I actually wanted to get the LED but for that size its $$$$$ and after a little time it will drop like everything else. thanks again for that link!
Interesting, we have 3 samsung LCD's that have been great for a few years now...

yes, we usually do and it actually paid off this year. We bought IL's a 26" tv at best buy and one day it stopped working, we brought it in to geek squad and they couldn't fix it so we got to pick out a new nicer flat screen for them.

We bought it on our tv which ended up costing 3k, worth it IMO
