Buying a Treadmill
Is it possible to get a good treadmill for running under $600.00? I am looking for a new one. I am not interested in going through craiglist. Can anyone reccomend one? Thanks!

Walmart actually has several Proform and Gold's Gym treadmills for under $600.

If you want it for running, make sure you get a 20" belt. 18' is for walking only
I've had my Nordic Trak since 2004. I only had to have it serviced once and it was just to lubricate (which I should have been doing myself)
not mine - but under $600

Thanks guys! I have been looking at all of the ones you guys posted. I have tried craiglist for over a month now and the prices are either too high for what they have or they are too far on the end of the island for me to drive and get.

I think Sports Authority also had a Proform under $600.
I just got the 400c Proform for $599, plus I found a $50 coupon online and this week they have free shipping on it!
It is a really good machine, I have been researching them and we loved this one and it was a great deal for that model!! Plus you can hook it up to your Iwhatever which is great.

That's awesome! I went for the LifeFitness. I spent $1000 and it has broken twice in the past month. I am waiting for the repair man to come this week I hope. Wish I had gone with the Proform, I had one before this that lasted forever.

My parents have had a profrom for about 10 years now and it is still running just fine, no issues at all. I hope I have the same luck they do!

I have a Cybex gym grade treadmill - i bought it used from a gym. love it! I had a proform before this (also bought used) and it was great but there is a big difference between the home and gym grades especially if you plan on using it for sprinting. The cybex one is very sturdy.

Buying a Treadmill
Treadmills go on sale often you just have to catch them at the right time! I got a great one for under $400 at Sears. It inclines, has set workout routines, and does more than I could ask for. It's great!!
