Buying clothes on Amazon

I was looking at a pair of NYDJ jeans on their website and also the Nordstrom website.

They didn't have my size in the style/color I wanted on the NYDJ website or Nordstroms so I googled and it popped up on Amazon.

Same jeans- in the size and color I wanted.

The thing is, it's $41 cheaper on Amazon.
Why is that?
Are the clothes on Amazon legit? I mean I have bought clothes from them before and they were fine, but never anything designer that was that much cheaper.
Is there a reason for it?

Just a little nervous about buying it from there with the huge price difference.

Sometimes they're legit, sometimes they're not. I go by the reviews and the seller's rating. I've gotten some really good deals on actual designer stuff- 7 jeans and Kate Spade jewelry. I've also gotten ripped off- usually kid's clothes that aren't licensed Disney and are really crappy. If there's no reviews, I probably wouldn't buy it.

Re: Buying clothes on Amazon

So the seller is listed as Amazon.com (not a 3rd party seller I guess)

There is another one of the same jeans and size being sold by Zappos fulfilled by Amazon. Those are $1 more.

Both are prime

If it is free returns what do you have to lose?

True. I will probably do it.
I was just curious why they are selling them for $40 cheaper.

Interesting- I usually see items like that as third party fulfilled by Amazon. I'd probably do the zappos ones- it's at least a name you know.

Their prices are all over the map but when you catch a deal it can be awesome. I've gotten nice name brand clothes for peanuts. Then yoy check a day or two later and the price goes back up. As long as it's prime I don't see an issue.

I believe they have a store in the outlets in Riverhead. I know there was a store in Deer Park, but I'm not sure if it's still in business.

If Amazon is the seller, they likely bought an overstock of that particular item. Sometimes they have certain sizes or colors that are more or less money depending on what they have in stock. That is typically why it fluctuates.

I would go for it if Amazon is the seller though I have no idea why the cost is so much less.

Maybe they used to be that price everywhere and Amazon hasn't been notified that they could be making more of a profit lol.

Yes they are pull on but not like super stretchy jeans. They fit like regular jeans do, but they cover the little pouch on your lower stomach. I'm wearing the black ones right now and they are so comfortable. I got a size 8, and I'm 5'8 and around 145-150lbs just for reference :)
