Re: C-section mommies...
It can take a while - 6 mts later, the incision area is still red, and it still feels a bit weird at times- numb, and when I work out and do a lot of jumoing, it can still feel a little sore....

It took awhile to feel myself again - probably a good 3 or 4 months at least.

Re: C-section mommies...
It took a few months to feel not sore. But to be honest I really was not my true energetic self until DS was 12 months then I started to be me again- but no real pain past about 2 months just not really me- finally I can exercise and run normally again but parts of my incision are still numb (15+ mo later)- I guess it always will be-not uncomfortable though. I know it stinks but it gets better before you know it- hang in there!

Re: C-section mommies...
It took me exactly 6 weeks to not constantly feel pain at my incision. Now- almost 3 1/2 months later I am much better, but there are still times when I will still feel a twinge of pain.

Re: C-section mommies...
pretty quickly. I did have a raw feeling on my stomach for awhile though...I think that was more due to my bleeding stretch marks.

Re: C-section mommies...
While I had a great recovery (I had a c/s with my first), I felt sore for a few weeks. The numbness took months to go away. The scar has all but faded and there is no more numbess 3 years later.

Re: C-section mommies...
I have no pain at all at almost 4 months later - I was feeling really great by 1 month with no pain unless I pressed on the area. By 2-3 months I completely forgotten about my incision since it doesn't bother me at all. I was very lucky.

Re: C-section mommies...
I must be in the minority but I truly felt better maybe 2 weeks later. I just took it easy not lifting heavy things (carseat, etc.). I do still feel a bit numb at the incision though.

Re: C-section mommies...
My incision never really bothered em. I was pain free at like 8 weeks, but It came back a little ( at about 4 and 1/2 months later).
Is aw the Dr. Today and he said, its normal, could take up to a yr. to not have any pain at all.

Re: C-section mommies...
For me, at 1 month PP i felt good, 2 months I felt great! I'm a little over 3 months PP and i am feeling even better everyday. But if my 17 month old leans/hits/kicks me near my incision, it still hurts sometimes.
Hang in there It'll take some time but you'll get there

Re: C-section mommies...
I'm 7.5 weeks post c-section. 12 days after I hd it my incision burst open and a ton of fluid came out. It was packed and dressed and mostly healed except for one spot. That spot is the only place that really hurts me otherwise I have a few numb patches.
I start to get sore on long walks and can't resume any other activity until the wound closes fully.
Feel better! Rest as much as you can.
