C-section mommies.... is there a product..
That protects your incision site so that your underwear bands or pant waists don't rub on it? Sort of something like a "bella band" but made specifically for c-sections?

Not that I know of... but one of the nurses at the hospital used a long maxipad on me and told me I could do the same at home. It sounds gross, but actually helped.

I used a huge maxipad as well. It worked wonderfully. The pain of the rubbing was awful and the doctor said that the sweat would cause infection. I did this when I came home too for about a week.

Chelle... I know it does not sound sexy but a few moms had mentioned, on a post where I asked that question, to wear grandma panties (like high cut brief).

I took one of my ds's teeny washcloths and placed it between my incision and my underwear. It helped a lot!!

I wore those mesh undies they give for the longest. Also, sweats and stretchy pants were the only things that covered my arse for about a month. the thought of putting jeans or anything else on

Re: C-section mommies.... is there a product..
I used gauze from the hospital to put there held by my underwear for the first 2 weeks. After that I didn't need to anymore. But it worked well - just a bit of a PITA when you used the bathroom

That's what I did. And I wore my maternity sweatpants with the big comfy wide band for a few weeks until it felt fine with regular clothes.

I used the maxi pads they give you in the hospital. The nurse gave me a bunch of them when I was discharged

Re: C-section mommies.... is there a product..
I bought some grandma panties and put a maxi pad (soaked in ointment) on the undies so that it was protecting my incision from the chafe of the elastic band.
