C-Section Moms - Steri Strips
I had my staples removed the day I was discharged from the hospital and they put steri strips on. The nurse said they would fall off on their own.
How long did it take for yours to fall off? It has been 8 days and they are itchy!

Mine took FOREVER...I ended up having to peel some off because they were itching like crazy!

they stayed on till my 4 week apt, then nurse took them off.

Mine stayed on forever too. My incision reopened a little and bled so I had to pull them off myself.

They always say they will fall off within a week, they never do!
I had to pull mine off after 2 weeks. They came off easy in the shower.

My doc told me to take them off after 1 week. I pulled them off from the outside in, i left mine on for about 2 weeks only cause i am a baby and i was afraid my guts were going to pour out-yes totally out of control ridiculous to be scared of.

Me too!!! I think I did it at around 8 weeks.... Then I had an allergic reaction when I pulled the damn things off.....

I was told to take them off in 2 weeks so I did. They were mostly falling off at that point. I took them off in the shower so it was easier.

Mine fell off pretty fast.
By a week after having her, I went back to the doctor and there was one left. The doctor removed it for me. No pain and no itching at all.

I was a baby too. I didn't pull any of them off forcibly. When I went to the doctor for a followup visit, she yanked them all off.

After 8 days, I took them off myself because they were driving me crazy. I didn't have staples though so maybe check with your doctor first?

They never put steri strips on mine when they took out the staples either time. I always thought they should have.

I still had mine on 2 weeks after being discharged and I got an infection and it had to be drained (TMI) and the NP took the strips off.

My Dr took mine off at my 2 week appt. I had dissolving stitches and I was terrified of touching anything near my incision.
