I don't remember having to be teste. My ob scheduled induction with chance of csection and that was it. I just went to admitting the day of induction and filed out paperwork

I didn't do pre-op testing either. I was induced and had to have a C-section in the end. Now perhaps this will be different -- although I want a VBAC with DS#2 I might not get that option depending on his size so they might then do pre-op testing if necessary.

Generally Pre-Op takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Blood pressure, weight, possibly urine is tested. Paperwork may have to be filled out. The wait can be annoying which makes the whole process seems longer. I personally never made it to my presurgical testing since I would go into labor first.

Re: C-section Pre op testing at Northshore
I had my c-section done 3 months ago there. They told me I would be in and out with in an hour. I waited over 2 hours to be seen. I complained to the nurse manager and administration. There response was that they are the busiest hospital in the NSLIJ system and have the most OR cases so it is always this long! Make sure you bring something to eat and read!!!!
