Cake design ideas...
My parents are having a little dinner for their 30th anniversary. It will be just 10 people (including them) and I won't be able to attend.
I wanted to get them a nice cake that my brother will be able to pick up and bring to the dinner...
Any ideas for designs?
For my dad's birthday in January, I got him this cake because he's really into The Godfather and had just become a Grandpa!
I want it to be something fun!
They have been married 30 years.
They LOVE dogs and have a bunch if that helps
Any ideas?

Um - how about a cake with a dog house on it and little piles of chocoloate poop? It can say "Happy Anniversary to the Pooper Scoopers". 
You mentioned dogs and one year I made my mother a kitty litter cake - it looked so disgusting but tasted so good.

 i don't want to gross them out! but thank you for the idea! that is hysterical.

what about a cake with an edible pic- you could do one from their wedding and a recent one, or do one of them with all kids and grandkids etc

that's a great idea, but unfortunately I don't have access to either...
I live in San Diego and they are in NY - so I don't have their wedding pics, and my dad has only been out here 1x since the baby was born and I didn't get a pic of everyone!

Since 30th anniversary is traditionally pearl - what about a pearlized cake? Can they do something like that with fondant?
