california closets
has anyone had a closet done by them?
We have a pretty standard 3 ft. deep, 6 ft. wide reach-in closet that I would love to have done in the nursery. Any idea what something like that would run?
Here is a pic of what I'd like, something similar Image Attachment(s):

Re: california closets
we had our nursery closet done by them. If your just looking for basic shelves and some rods the cost isn't bad. Once you start adding drawers in it then it starts getting pricey. but it's like having a dresser in your closet. Totally worth it in my opinion. Plus they were great to work with!!

any ballpark prices you can share? I'm starting to look into having 3 closets in our home done and I don't know where to start. We need our walk in closet in the master, nursery closet which is a standard double reach in, as well as a pantry closet. No idea what to budget for this! Thanks!

Re: california closets
I didn't meet with them, but I met with http://alternativeclosets.com/ which i hear is a lot cheaper. I was looking into for my MBR though (was going to be $5k)....Just wanted to give you another option.

Re: california closets
We had met with them to discuss having them put a closet system in our closet. I had heard they were pricey but was shocked when they said 4,600, we do have a walk in but I thought that was insane. DH and I did a do it ourself project cost us 400 total, and its looks pretty good, got all the stuff for it at lowes.

Re: california closets
I hear it's very pricey as well. I am going to look into the DIY options they have at lowes, home depot & Ikea. I really like the ikea options.

Thanks - I will definitely check them out! I have a feeling Calif Closets will be insanely expensive so I'm trying to look for other options.

I read a lot of people on here did the DIY from Loews when I do a search on closets. Did you find it hard to install yourselves? DH nor myself are exactly handy people

We did about 5 dresser "drawers" in the closet so that raised the price a lot. Without the drawers it would have been about $900, 3 areas to hang clothes and the rest shelves. Adding the drawers (which make it more of a dresser in the closet) it was about $1900. We love it. It looks beautiful and we can always add and change things to it in the future if we want. HTH
