California Pizza Kitchen-- Birthday Party
Has anyone been to or hosted a birthday party at CPK? Looking into it for my almost 4 year old. What do they do? And do you have to purchase food for the adults from their regular menu? Im just a bit confused on how it works. thanks!

California Pizza Kitchen-- Birthday Party
we attended a bday party there. It was cute. They brought out dough and sauce for each kid, with the cheese and various toppings for the kids to make their own pizza. Then they gave the kids a tour of the kitchen. It was really cute. Kids had a blast.

Re: California Pizza Kitchen-- Birthday Party
Ive been there for a few parties for 5-6 year olds. I guess a 4 year old can do it but parents would need to help. You have the option to buy food for parents but its not mandatory.

Re: California Pizza Kitchen-- Birthday Party
Had my daughter's 4th bday there n loved it!! They get a chef hat when they first walk in n decorate it.. I brought in stickers n glitter pens. I also bought on amazon aprons for each child n the birthday child gets a cpk apron. After that the kids get dough, sayce n cheese to make their pizza. The tour starts n they get to go in the fridg, my daughter got to turn on the big faucet for cleaning dishes.. They saw there pizza being made. They then ate their pizza n had sundaes.. N i brought in cupcakes. I got the adults pizza .. They r small pies but i ordered more if i needed n pitcher of soda. If u decide on california pizza kitchen go to costco n get 100 gift cards for 80!! U can save a ton! Any further questions fm me :)
Oh n each child gets a coupon for a free kids meal on their next visit! U cant beat the price!!

Re: California Pizza Kitchen-- Birthday Party
Had my DD 4th birthday at the one in Walt Whitman mall and it was great. We had the best host. He interacted with all the kids I got foam letters and put each kids name in a zip loc bag and gave it to them to decorate the hat. I also brought a bunch of markers for then to use. After they finished decorating hats they made the pizza and then the host took them through the mall cpk was on had them basically march and dance around and had people wish my DD in the other stores happy birthday. They also got the kitchen tour and now that I think about it them going around the mall might have happened right before they made the pizza. I can't remember. I also got aprons from amazon and wrote the kids name on it. For favors I got pizza boxes to hold the stuff I got them. I stressed over this party and started having doubts as it got closer that 4 year old would like it (most weren't even 4 yet) but it really was great. I also stressed about the start time it was early 10 am but by the time kids ate it was 11:30
While the price for kids are great the food for adults were expensive I ended up just ordering apps we had so many kids, to feed all the adults, pizza and stuff it would have cost more than what the kid portion of the party cost so I just did some apps and of course drinks. ETA: you can't bring outside food in I asked cause wanted to do just bagels for the adults. You can choose their regular menu or catering menu. I ordered the apps from the catering menu.
