Calling Cards

I leave for Jamaica on Sunday and know my cell wont work. I am looking for a calling card. Would a regular one from CVS or Duane Reade work?

Re: Calling Cards

I think it depends on the card - you need to check which countries you can access on the info sheet.

The best one for international that I've ever gotten I actually bought at the post office !

Some of the ones the stores sell are specific to certain locations, and the one I got you can purchase more minutes for Chat Icon

Re: Calling Cards

I usually purchase calling cards when I get to the country I'm going to. Not all of the calling cards seem to work at the same phones so I think it's easier to do it there.

Really if I have a chance maybe I'll take a walk there. Thanks!

Usually most gift shops carry them. Or the concierge can direct you where to get them (some cards/phones may be more affordable than others).

For example, in Aruba, it's cheapest to go to the phone company place and use their phones (not far from the resort we were staying at).
