Camera at Disney
What camera would you bring? We have a DSLR (brand new), an older point and shoot, or just our phone cameras?
Oh, and we will have three kids with us.....(1, 3, and 5)

Re: Camera at Disney
I always bring my DSLR. I'm a picture snob and I make huge photobooks very year from our trips, so I want really great pictures!

Re: Camera at Disney
If you bring it with you, do you just carry it with you all the time in your camera bag?

I keep mine out and criscrossed across my body almost the whole day. If there is a ride that I cant wear it or I'm worried about it getting wet/damaged, I put it in the bag and bring it with me. If there is a time when I am NOT wearing it (besides a ride) I put it in the bag under the stroller, but the bag strap is attached to the stroller, so someone cant easily swipe it.

Re: Camera at Disney
we didn't bring the dslr bc we had 2 little ones- a 6 month old an almost 2 yr old - if the kids were older and i didn't have to lug formula and bottles and tons of diapers i would have taken it

Re: Camera at Disney
it depends on how you take your photos. If you love photography, plan on really taking photos at the parks then bring it with the smallest zoom in a VERY good carry bag that you can double as your pocketbook. I find myself never taking photos at the park but i have no children - so i used my oldest DSLR for like Epcot when your less on rides and more family time. For Disney we bring a decent point and shoot (which i hope to get a high end one soon) since we really don't take much there since its more rides then anything.
Bring the camera however to the animal park if you go there - i think i take more photos there if anything. When I have family with us we always do portraits there LoL

Re: Camera at Disney
I took my DSLR .. I got a backpack type case for it at Best buy so it was easy to get out and put away. Also gave us extra space to hold a iflip and small stuff like a snack, water and wipes.
It was pretty light weight and with the camera in there it was easy to carry on our back or on the stroller.
best money spent by far.
