Camera Question...
Yesterday from going from the AC Car, outside my camera got sooo foggy.
Does this always happen? This will be my first summer with the Nikon D40 but something doesn't seem right

Re: Camera Question...
It's probably just the extreme change in temperature. That happens with my regular glasses too. You could also get a lens cloth to wipe off the foggy part.

Re: Camera Question...
This happens to my SLR (Canon Rebel)
When I go from an AC room outside to the heat it fogs up. I just leave it alone for 10 minutes or so and it goes away. Its a temp change thing.

Duh never thought of that
I guess I should go to the camera guy today and see what he says.
Thanks

Re: Camera Question...
I read that you should put the camera in a bag, so it adjusts to the temperature slowly. Less chance of condensation that way. A dessicant packet couldn't hurt, either. I keep the ones from shoe boxes.

Very good advice.
I wouldn't put any cream on my camera but if you want to, I would check with the camera store first.

Ditto. This happens to me more in the winter, if I'm outside taking pictures of snow and such. I leave the camera by the door where it gets a draft for a while.
I have a cooler that I stuff the camera bag into when I know it's going to be in the hot car. Keeps it insulated and at a constant temp. No ice, of course.

ITA I always keep my camera in the bag & have never had a problem
