Can an old vet yell at you ladies ?
And I mean this in the most LOVING of ways .....
There is a reason betas are set for the days they are scheduled on !!! It breaks my heart everytime I see one of you guys upset and on eggshells unnecessarily prematurely only to (hopefully ) find out your beta is positive in the end !!..For those of you that test positive, its a wonderful early suprise, but for those that don't it adds on to the already nail biting 2 week wait -especially when you start to google and compare #'s
I never POAS before beta....Trust me, when I say that I'm just as much of a planner "need to know" girl as anyone of us But honestly, I knew that even if I POAS, no matter what that damn stick said, I never would have known for sure until that stupid beta test anyhow, so I would have been right back where I started....
Ok, getting off my IF now
I just pray so hard for all of you guys and want this to happen for everyone of you so badly and hate to see you ride any additional bumps in this already bumpy rollercoaster for no reason
Feel free to tell me to jump off a bridge now, I've been through IF, I can do that, I can take anything
(and to all you girls who are in the "wait" right now, I send all my ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it's sooooo hard. We have all these hpts in our cabinets just calling out to be peed on!
I used to test beginning 8dpo but that got old quick. Now I do it the day before beta because the dr said it should be poss by then. And I like to stop crinone because I think it has been prolonging AF lately.

Awwww, no it wasn't only directed at you (well maybe a lil' , but only because I stalk the heck out of you ladies and want to see you all over on Parenting !! And in all honesty I have been meaning to holler at all you guys for a while now ) Get yourselves a piggy bank and everytime you want to buy yourselves a POAS, put the $ in there for that babies college fund !!!
Please know I speak from the bottom of my heart and hope all your miracles are with you soon

Re: Can an old vet yell at you ladies ?
I was a victim of testing too early and cried for a week, mean while I had tested to early and I was actually pregnant! I just couldn't resist the test calling out to me everytime I had to pee so I totally get it, just don't read to much into the early results. Good luck to everyone out their peeing on sticks I wish for you all a BFP!

i think they only way for this to work is to have like a cape and fly into everyone's bathroom and kick the stick out of our hands and watch us pee on our hands

Re: Can an old vet yell at you ladies ?
I am someone who never POAS ever!! I never even thought about doing it until a friend asked me before my beta if I did. I was so use to negative phone calls that honestly the surprise I got when I finally got my BFP was overwhelming. I didn't expect it. I think because I paid out of pocket I felt why spend more money on tests that I didn't need. My DH did feel cheated that he did not get to see the test stick that showed we were pregnant so a few weeks later maybe at 12 weeks I POAS for him and left them by the bathroom, granted the surprise was not there but still.

Re: Can an old vet yell at you ladies ?
See, I have to disagree here, lol (from one vet to another) While I think testing too early can be killer, in my case (and I'm certainly not the norm) I never would've known there was a problem b/c I had 3 cycles w positives @home that were negative by beta besides my other miscarriages w positive betas. I never would've moved on to a new Dr as early as I did if I didn't have that info to back me up, so to speak. That being said, I agree that testing too early and knowing its too early yet allowing oneself to get so emotional and consider yourself out already I completely disagree with.
