Can anyone recommend a Christening venue in Brooklyn, we *may* switch?
We are pretty much flexible on location. The Christening itself is in Bensonhurst, but we can do Bay Ridge, Cobble Hill, Park Slope etc...
I really like our location. It is in Bensonhurst. The issue we are having is that the manager is now telling us we have a start time of 5. We were originally told we could have a start time of 4ish, as the church is at 2:30 He is now telling us he usually does parties 12-4 and 5-on. I am pretty annoyed as this was not the original plan discussed. I really like the place. It is perfectly suitable for the approximate 50 people we are having. I also like that it has a small dance floor as we are getting a dj for the kids. It just is the perfect space for us.
We looked into Greenhouse in Bay Ridge and it will just be too small. Il Fornetto in Sheepshead we also loved but they have a similar time plan to the place we ended up going with.
Any suggestions Brooklyn gals??? TIA
ETA: The Christening is in March.

How about Michael's Restaurant. I think it is on Ave N or R. Not sure
Edited to add that I had my bridal shower at Il Fornetto and loved it!

Buckley's (Marine Park) Il Fornetto (Sheepshead Bay) Gino's (Bay Ridge) Vesuvio (Bay Ridge-had my baby shower here) The Pearl Room (Bay Ridge--had my bridal shower here) C&C Catering (18th Ave)
There are so many! I'll think of more...

For about 50 people. What I liked about the original venue was that it has a small dance floor for the kids and we could get a dj. There will be a bunch of kids so I want to keep them busy.

what about the Bay Ridge Manor
or the Dyker Beach Club
the food at either one isn't going to knock your socks off but it's typical catering hall food. the grounds at Dyker are really nice.

Buckleys
I do not do business with the Greenhouse cafe after i had thanksgiving dinner there 2 yrs ago. Their waitress and manager were unreal.
