Thanks!

Re: Can anyone recommend a good USED car dealership?
I got a 1990 Toyota Corolla (best car ever) from the Toyota dealer in Amityville (is that Nassau or Suffolk). This was back in 2000. It literally only had 50k miles on it and ran like a dream. It was owned by an old lady who rarely used it. She traded it in. You should check out the major dealers for trade ins. I would avoid those "used car lots". Not reliable in my experience.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good USED car dealership?
The toyota dealership in Amityville on Sunrise Hwy is really good.
Robert Chevrolet in Hicksville. I bought my Prizm LSI there, and I gotta say it was the best experience I ever had a with a used car dealer. Ask for Eddie Kidan
D&P Auto Sale in N Bellmore. He is a little higher in price, but you will get a great car from him. He hand picks all his cars, and then he also gives you a warranty with your purchase, a full tune up whether the car needs it or not, new tires, new brakes all around, changes all the fluids, changes the belts and hoses etc....He has been there on the corner of bellmore ave and Beltagh for 25 years.

The one on Sunrise, that's where I went - thanks, Scott!
Yes I would recommend it 100 times! I loved mine. Loved it. I only sold it when I lived in Jersey City and my DH needed a newer car for work.
I may need to get a car again and I am going to look into another Corolla!

Thanks, that's great to hear since that may be our car since his dad is giving it away but it just needs a new transmission. So funny because it's the exact year too.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good USED car dealership?
If you cannot afford a used Corolla, or if you want to get the same exact car for less money look into the Chevrolet Prizm. The last year for the car was 2002, but the car is made by toyota, has a toyota motor, transmission, all electrics, body parts and interior. There are only a few things that arent toyota, and none of them would affect quality or reliability of the car.
I have a 2001 Chevy Prizm LSI. I bought it from Robert Chevrolet in 2003 with 19k miles on it for $9300. A 2001 Corolla S which is the comparison car would of costed me almost $12,000, just because it is badged a toyota and not a chevy. Now 2005 and I have not had one problem with the car. It has 49k miles. I change the oil, have changed the front and rear brakes and have gotten 4 new tires and an alignment done. That is all it has needed to get done...It is a great car, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants an inexpensive, relieable used car.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good USED car dealership?
Thanks everyone!
I have a Chevy Prizim but it's a 1991 and it's got 180,000 miles on it right..there is something wrong with the chassie? sp? and it would cost me $1000 to repair it the car it's just not worth it to me.
