Can anyone recommend a juicer? (yes, this is parenting related)
I'm sick of fighting with DS to eat. He hasn't had a vegetable in MONTHS.
I know I can't force him to eat, but I'm still concerned about him getting enough vitamins/nutrients.
The kid LOVES juice/drinks/liquids.
I was thinking of getting a juicer and maybe mixing some carrot/celery with say apple juice or whatever.
Thoughts on this?

I think it's a great idea and it's not a waste if he doesn't like them - I'm sure you and DH will benefit from having fresh juices around too!!! Let us know when you get it, and we can call you JAMBAJUICELADY.

I'm pretty sure the one I have is made by waring pro juicer. It could be a PITA to clean.

The funny thing is I used to lurk on this site and LIW all the time and then I finally decided to take the leap and start posting but was way too uncreative to come up with a screenname and I happened to be drinking a Jamba Juice, so that is exactly why Jambalady is my screen name!

I tried smoothies and he does not like the texture.
He's like DH - he likes to guzzle!

I have the champion juicer, but I juice for myself 3-4 times a week. Its a little expensive if you won't be using it a lot, but you get more juice and nutrients with it than other brands, and it can make baby food. Carrots, celery and cucumbers is great to make, or substitute the cucumber for apples. FYI - Trader Joe's has really sweet and fresh organic carrots, much better than anywhere else. I make enough juice for 3days and store in mason jars in the fridge. HTH!!!
