Kinda parenting related - please recommend your SUV/mini van
DH's car died yesterday so we need a new car. We have a Honda CRV and would like a bigger SUV/mini van that has three rows so we can accomodate more carseats. Thanks!

Well i love my jeep commander and it has the 3rd row.
My boss just got the Chrysler Town and Country minivan and it's gorgeous- stow n go seats, dual dvds, automatic doors and automatic trunk. It's very nice.

I liked the VW Routon(almost bought one)..which btw is almost the same as Chrysler Town and country...only difference-german suspension and the interior is a bit different..Both vans have AWESOME cash back incentives right now.

Re: Kinda parenting related - please recommend your SUV/mini van
We have the Walter P series Town and Country which offers most of the "bells and whistles" included in the package. It is just under the Limited model. The multiple screen entertainment system is top-notch. It has Bluetooth, optional gps, Sirius, mp3 hook up, power A/C outlets, ect. too many to list. I considered SUV too b4 getting the minivan, but the power trunk lift, sliding doors are SO convenient, no more doors bumping into the parked car next to us and clicking the remote buttons on your remote key to open them when your hands are full either with kids or packages is great. My 2 little kids can either watch their shows on one screen and the older one can play her Gamecube in the back seat on a separate screen. Car trips that took hours are less stressful. However, I do most of the driving now since my hubby likes to watch movies with the kids in the car. I think there are promotions now that will give almost 4500-10k discount. I don't know what they are exactly, but my neighbor was considering T&C since her 10 year old minivan is now on its last legs. The exterior is alittle non-descipt like a box(I like the front grille) but it gives you more interior space and it is like a luxury car inside with great seat folding options that allow you have the entire second and third row flat in case you have stuff you need to haul like having an enclosed pick-up truck. My hubby did this to load up two base cabinets and 10 bags of soil and mulch from Home Depot one time. Even with the third row up, the truck room is significant, as I can also put my lightweight stroller right in the truck without folding it down. Everytime my doors or trunk are open, people look inside and are amazed at what the van offers. It is alot of value for the money. I do admit that Honda and Toyota are certainly better quality, but with everything I wanted, it would have been too much as most options are extra and I would have had to settle for a base model. OK I rambled on enough
