several family members have had a great experience with the stony brook ped surgeons - Dr Scriven and Dr Lee.

What type of surgeon do you need? A general or for something more specific. DS just had 2 surgeries with 2 different doctors that I would def. recommend!

Dr. Scriven.. he's amazing! i work with him and have seen lots of his surgeries and taken care of his patients post op. Some of the nurses that work on my unit have also trusted him with their own kids and i would as well.

he took such amazing care of my little cousin - shes 12 and currently in remission (Non-Hodg Lymphoma). Just the little things, like the fact that he realized the importance of scar placement for a teenage girl - he installed her port lower than usual so it doesn't show out of her top
We met with him for a consult for my son (thankfully, nothing wrong!) and he was nothing but sweet. TINY exam room though.
