Can anyone recommend a Pediatric Plastic Surgeon?
My DD had a cyst removed from her chest/neck area about 2 months ago. We have been using Miderma on it but the scare looks horrible...its a small scar maybe a little bit bigger than a Tic Tac but its on her chest so if she is wearing a tank top or a V neck shirt that is ALL YOU SEE! We took her back to the surgeon to show him because he told us it was going to look a lot different so we wanted to make sure nothing was wrong and he basically said "Sorry, I didn't mean it to come out like that so I guess you can take her to a plastic surgeon" Nice right...after he came highly recommended...
Well in any case we just want to take her to see one to see what our options are. She is 2 and as she gets bigger I don't want the scar to stretch and have her be uncomfortable wearing certain clothes.

I don't know anyone, but I just wanted to send  for your DD. It sucks that she'll need another surgery to fix it, but hopefully it will be an easy procedure!

Dr. Nguyen (pronounced "WIN") did Ryan's stitches on his forehead a little over a year ago, and the scar is barely visible right now. She did a phenomenal job.

We used Long Island Plastic Surgery Group in Garden City.
Dr. Rachel Routolo was the recommended surgeon for children in the group, she works with a lot of kids who have cleft palates, etc.
We had a great experience with them!

We used Dr. Pamela Gallagher in West Islip to remove DS's skin tag from his ear. She was great with him, and you'd never even know he ever had it - the scar is barely visible.

Mederma recommends up to 6 months of use. We have been using it 2 months and just starting to notice a difference. Use the Mederma (for kids) 3 times a day and for longer.
I just say that to avoid cosmetic surgery which at the end of day is not life threaten.
