Please recommend your pediatric allergist in Nassau
About 2 months ago we went to one that our ped. recommended. My friend takes her dd there and I know another mommy on here goes there. Maybe we caught the dr on an off day, but DH & I really felt like they couldn't shove us out the door fast enough. They did a skin test and confirmed milk & milk protein allergies, but other than that they didn't really tell us anything other than to log onto a website for more info on milk allergies. They said they couldn't even tell us how severe it was. It was very frustrating, so I haven't followed up with them at all.
Andy had a bad skin reaction to something this week and I need to see an allergist, so I'd like to try another office to see if we get any specific information on how to better manage his allergy related skin issues.
TIA! Cathy

My DD's allergist is in Smithtown so that probably won't help you.... but I agree with your concerns. We went to the allergist because my DD had a horrible reaction from eating an egg yolk. I always knew she had a milk protein allergy but it got confirmed because the doctor went thru a dozen skin prick tests to see what she was allergic too. Turns out she is anaphalix (sp?) - and has severe allergies to dairy, eggs, all nuts, wheat - and a whole host of things... The severity of each was found by a simple blood test.
