Can anyone recommend an affordable granite place?
Not sure where to look for a good deal. Hoping for affordable and reliable. Thanks!

Re: Can anyone recommend an affordable granite place?
We just purchased ours at Granite Industries in Holbrook. I don't think it was too expensive. We have not had the experience of getting it installed yet though, just put the downpayment on it.

No problem. The slab we picked out was $55/square foot. They have different prices up to $125/square foot.

Is that $55 psf installed
The best quote we got is $79 psf installed at Lowe's. Strange though since we got a quote from a different Lowe's for the same granite at $101 psf installed

We ordered 50 sq. ft-$55 sq/ft and the total is $3,200. They still have to measure after the cabinets go in so it might be less or more. We are thinking less though because our kitchen is not that big.

That's a great price.
As of now we need 54 sq ft. of granite and were quoted $101 psf and $79 psf ft at two different Lowe's.

We were originally quoted $65/sq. ft. for Silestone at Home Depot. We decided on the granite.

Re: Can anyone recommend an affordable granite place?
I don't remember the name of the place, but my brother's in-laws used them for kitchen counters and were very happy. Their prices start at $45 per sq ft, and depending upon the edge and the type of granite, go up from there. They also gave them a free upgrade to the next edge level. They are located on the LIE south service road in Plainview, west of Round Swamp. They also have another location further east.

Re: Can anyone recommend an affordable granite place?
I have a friend, who is a shopper and whose opinion I trust, who just used the place in Holbrook. She was very happy with them and her kitchen is very large and has both an island, and a desk.

Re: Can anyone recommend an affordable granite place?
We just got a quote from Manhasset Marble on Herricks road in Mineola for 55 sq/ft for 3500. That includes the cutting, edge and installation.

Re: Can anyone recommend an affordable granite place?
we got ours for about $70 sf installed. I will have to say that going to a place where you can pick out your own slab is really a good idea. i don't think I would have ever picked out my color without going with my cabinet doors and flooring. I looked at another slab of the same color and I probably would not have picked it. It really makes a difference to pick your own slab.
