can anyone recommend speech materials / books/ dvds?
My ds just doesn't want to talk. He understands everything and communicates well (minus the words). The evaluator that I spoke to says based on him understanding everything he may be denied services. He is almost 2.5. Cany anyone recommend some materials that I can get to help him kick start his talking? Thanks!

I don't have an idea for materials.. but my son had speech services when he was 4 because he was having difficulty with pronouncing some sounds.... the evaluator had told me that she didn't think he would qualify for services because he understood everything (beyond his age even).. but I made it very clear to the school and to the EI person how much I wanted him to get services, and that I was worried that he was going to have a hard time with school if he didn't.. so I wouldn't worry too much yet that he won't get it  Just keep on top of them
