can anyone share their "intro" ltrs to the parents and students?

I have to write one by tuesday and its a leave replacement in kindergarten....last year I did it as newsletter when I did Kindergarten but this year since its from the first day of school, thats out.....what shoudl I include, etc? thanks to anyone who can help!!!

what you plan on covering...books, topics, possible projects/events.

how often HW is assigned, supplies needed, how they can contact you, info about specials?

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to*******, Queens! My name is Ms. ****, and I will be your child’s teacher. Mrs.***** will be our class’ paraprofessional. Together, we hope to create an interesting, hands-on, and fun learning environment for your child.

I am attaching some forms for personal information. In the next few days you will be receiving more forms from our school. Please fill all forms out and return them as soon as possible.

With this letter, there are also a list of pertinent school information and a list of school holidays that you may find helpful. I have also attached a supply list if you did not receive one in June. If there is any question or problem, please do not hesitate to write me a note.

Homework will be assigned Monday through Friday, (unless otherwise noted) and must be completed. Every week you will receive a copy of the “Classroom News” that will tell you what we are learning about that week. Please review this sheet with your child every night, as it will have your child’s homework assignment.

I look forward to meeting you and hope that the upcoming year is filled with much learning and successes.

thanks ladies! I have to check what may or may not have gone out to them last year too I think.....
