Can anyone tell me about schools in Wantagh, Massapequa, N Mass (Plainedge) or Bethpage???
These are our target areas. I already asked about Seaford now I would like some imput about any of these districts!

My DHs cousins and some friends have sone to plainedge and they like it

Massapequa is good. Wantagh is also very good.
Parts of Massapequa park town go to Farmingdale.
N. Massapequa town goes to either Plainedge or Farmingdale.
Bethpage I think is Bethpage schools but can be Plainview-Old Bethpage.
All of these districts are good. Plainedge is smaller than some of the others.

Massapequa can either go to Massapequa, Plainedge, Farmingdale, or Amityville SD. That's in order of preference (IMO) and I would avoid anything in the Amityville SD.
Massapequa SD is an excellent SD.
Wantagh has blue ribbon schools - you can't go wrong there.
I don't know much about Bethpage, but I've heard it's a very good SD also.

In Massapequa...we are only looking at schools that are in Massapequa schools not Farmingdale and Amityville

Keep in mind Wantagh homes could either be Wantagh or Levittown schools

Another Massapequa School girl here!
I am the second generation to have gone through Massapequa all the way from Pre K - High School!
My Mom grew up here & so did I!!
Would be my first preference if we could afford a house & stay. But it looks like we will be moving out east & leaving the place where my family has been for over 50 years now

I grew up in N. Mass and went to Plainedge and loved it!!! Very small school my graduating class was less than 200! Its a very close knit community and the kind of place where everyone knows everyone!
I currently live in Massapequa and absolutely love it here as well!! I also do a lot of SEIT work and work with several children who go to many of the Massapequa Elementary schools and have nothing but positive experiences, and great things to say!

Can I ask what this is in terms of? Students exam grades, spending in the SD, Pupil/teacher ratio, Regents scores, etc.? Because I'm looking at Newsday.com now and each of these districts ranks differently for each category.
