Can cats sound like a crying newborn??
I know this is such a strange question. But the past 2 nights there have been what I assume are cats just screaming and crying and fighting. It is sooooo loud and it has woken me up and kept me up.
I want to call animal contol if it doesn't stop but before I call I want to make sure it's cats.

Cats in heat sound EXACTLY like a newborn crying. What you described is kitty cat baby-making.

Oh geez! It is sooooo loud!!! LOL!!! And they go at it for a loooong time (who knew they had that kind of stamina!)
So what should I do? Leave them be in all of their humping glory? Or should I call animal control (bc not for nothing, these little ones MUST be strays)?

Re: Can cats sound like a crying newborn??
it's so funny you posted this. A few nights ago there was a cat literally on our window sill that sounded like a crying newborn. It woke DH and I up and we had no idea what it was until we opened the window and the cat leaped off the window sill and ran away. It was freaky.

You would assume that, and so would I. However, when I lived in Long Beach, we had two neighbors who let their cats come and go as they pleased.
Not only did their cats stalk my bird feeders but they chose my front stoop as their mating grounds.

Well, I assume their strays bc I live in an apt. complex and they have strict rules that all cats are not to be let outside... but there's always a rule breaker somewhere, right?
Luckily, all was quiet last night!
