Can DS still haven breast milk if I have a fever?
I had him on the 9th and now I have a fever of 101.6. Can he still have my breast milk? Do I need to call my OB since I have a fever? TIA!

The antibodies in your milk will help protect him from whatever you have. Personally I would continue to BF, others may disagree. Did you have a csection? I would call OB if you did since you may have an infection. Feel better!

Absolutely your DS can have your breast milk even if you're sick. Whatever virus/infection you have, it doesn't get into your breast milk. It can't make him sick. Just make sure to wash your hands well before handling him.
But - if you only had DS 10 days ago you're going to want to call your OB/GYN to get to the cause of the fever. Are you having pain and swelling in one breast? (I know, this early on it's probably so painful you can't really tell!). Make sure you don't have Mastitis:

Thanks all! I called my OB and he said it sounds lIke its due to engorgement. He told me to work on emptying and take Tylenol and call back If it doesn't go away or I have any other breast or incision issues.
