perfect because I gave it to him today.
I thought he could get it but wasn't 100% sure.
I know my ped said everything but 4 items. One of which was honey also.
Can I ask....why can't they have honey?

It is ok to give but I would try it without anything first. My kids loved pancakes and waffles plain (till Damien discovered syrup at day care) I figure why give them extra sugar they don't need.

I don't think there's anything wrong w/ it at all! I haven't given it to DD since I figure no reason for the extra sugar (as the pp said!), so I usually dip waffles and pancakes into apple sauce (or some other pureed fruit).

Yeah, I usually put home made fruit puree or jarred applesauce on their waffles, pancakes, French toast.
Like Stacey said, I'm trying to prolong the inevitable and substiture healthier options while I can. I'm waiting until one day they say, "But Jimmy's mom puts something called syrup on his pancakes...."

I always give it to him plain and he will take two bites - and that's it
Today we went out to breakfast with my mom and were slightly dipping it in the syrup and all we heard was "Mmmmm" the entire time!

Noah wille at anything sweet. Literally anything.
I too usually dip them ( waffles and pancakes) in apple sauce...and he prefers them that way.
But I got real maple syrup the other day and wanted to let him try it.

Bryan will eat pancakes, waffles, eggo's, etc. with our without syrup.
When I do offer it, it's a drip. That's it.
Applesauce is a great idea. I'm going to give that a try.

I give them to her without but if she has some of mine you betcha there will be maple syrup on them!!
