can i put frosting ona gingerbread house?
the icing that came with this gingerbread kit i bought is really hard and gross, and hard to spread. would frosting kill it?

i have made them with just plain white frosting. it gets hard after you leave it out, but it works as a great glue!!

i prefer using a jar of frosting like betty crocker or something over what they give you with the gingerbread house kit - bc, like you stated, that stuff is usually really gross. the other frosting acts as a good glue and tastes better - it gets hard after it is out on the house for a while but if you have a tupperware container that is large enough you can keep your house in there until you want to display/serve it.
