Can I read your birth story if you had a non-medicated birth?

Here's mine
I don't even remember half of what I wrote anymore so this may be repetitive, but part of what helped me was thinking of all the people I knew who had done it before - my BFF had done it 4 times and another friend 3 times, all without epidurals, so I knew I could do it too.

One thing I learned that was helpful was that contractions come in waves - with peaks & valleys. You only need to "survive" the peaks (which really aren't as long as you think until you are closer to the end). So looking at a monitor, your DH can tell you when it's coming down. Just breathe out slowly through those peaks. Each peak gets you closer to seeing your baby. Trust your body & whatever you feel the urge to do, do it (in my case I needed DH to dig his fist - for 10 hours - into my lower back as counterpressure). Don't underestimate counterpressuring from the outside to help ease the pain.
Thanks for the advice and reading your birth stories it seems like you were so calm! I can only hope labor progresses that quickly for me.
I think the dramatic movie births are not very helpful to expecing moms. I was pretty calm but I think most women are.
I realized how little I did share of the my birth story.
Showers are like liquid epidurals. They really do ease pain for some reason. I took a shower both times.
Also things to be prepared for:
I threw up while laboring both times. The first time in the hospital they gave me a nifty little tray that pools it away from you. The second time it was in the shower - which caused a comical scene of my trying to clean it up while having contractions. DH was a champ - took me out of the shower and ran back & forth cleaning up & pushing into my back in between my 3 minute contractions. I think it was the adrenaline pumping through my body but you should just be aware that you may have the same reaction.
Another thing, which I've posted about on pregnancy before, is the shaking afterwards. Again, I believe it was my body's reaction to running the equivalent to a marathon - it's not all that uncommon.
My first labor was 14 hours but it's a lot of hanging out & easing through contractions. You only push towards the end. Second labor was a lot shorter for me....I'll wish you a Maddie labor for you!
You're having a baby! You're having a baby! You're having a baby! You're having a baby! You're having a baby!
